Cultural Partners
Arts Impact emphasizes the connection between arts knowledge in the classroom and an original work of art or live performance. The Cultural Study Trip is an integral part of the training, in which participating teachers take their class to a museum exhibition or live performance. Arts Impact covers the cost of admissions.
Cultural educators at each of the partner organizations provide critical support to teachers through study guides, individualized tours, and a purposeful lens to view performances and artwork.
In addition, Seattle Art Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, and Broadway Center for the Performing Arts host Arts Impact’s Summer Institutes in their facilities. This level of partnership creates a sense of belonging and familiarity for teachers with their local arts resources and fosters continued use of these cultural institutions, even after Arts Impact training is completed.
