Arts Infused Classroom Student Learning Assessment Summary Reports:
2003, 2004, 2005
The Arts Impact Arts Infused Summer School program assesses students
using performance-based learning assessments that focus on clear,
transparent criteria. Each lesson assesses students’ abilities
to demonstrate learning for both the artistic criteria and for
math or literacy criteria contained within the lesson.
In the 2005 Summer School rubrics were added as a strategy to
assess the stand-alone arts concepts. Arts infused concepts were
assessed using criteria-based checklists.
The assessment report summaries posted below show aggregate scores
of the schools sites for each lesson at each grade level in each
arts discipline. Percentages of students meeting each criteria
were calculated as well as the overall mean and median number of
criteria met for each lesson.
