Math and Literacy Shared Concepts
taught through dance, theater, visual arts
Arts Impact worked with Tacoma School District curriculum specialists
to identify those concepts that are represented in both core classroom
disciplines and the arts.
Examples include: Writing: narrative beginning, middle, and end
shared by dance, theater, and visual arts; Reading: character attributes
shared by theater and visual arts; Math: symmetry shared by dance
and visual arts.
